The NBA season is winding down and many DFS players are shifting their attention to the MLB. With the focus now on another sport, this is a prime spot for NBA DFS players to win big. With 5 games on the slate tonight, teams are mainly focused on three things which are: resting players, fighting for playoff positioning, or evaluating young players for the future. These are all factors to take into consideration before hitting the submit button tonight.

PG Frank Mason III (SAC vs IND, $4,100)

The Kings have been in tank mode for quite some time now which means increased minutes for younger players. Mason has been a bright spot for this team coming off the bench. In his last 5 games he has been averaging nearly 24 minutes and he has shown that he can score in that time period. At $4,100, Mason is a bargain considering his 39 point upside that was flashed 3 games prior. Strong salary-saving GPP option tonight.

SG/SF Khris Middleton (MIL @ GS, $7,700)

This game will be my favorite game to target tonight. This leads me to Middleton who has been Mr. Consistent lately. Looking back at his game logs, he hasn’t dipped below 30 DraftKings points since March 5th. This is the definition of consistent and makes Middleton a fine cash play for the night. Additionally, given the Warriors pace of play, he could see more touches which expands his upside for GPP’s as well.

SF/PF Kevin Durant ($10,800)/Giannis Antetokounmpo ($10,600) (GS vs MIL)

Both of the guys listed above have nearly the same salary and have eligibility in the same two positions. Durant is coming back from injury but has shown major upside when Curry is out of the lineup. The Bucks have been inside the bottom 10 against small forwards and I can’t picture anyone who can slow Durant down. On the flipside, Giannis has been doing everything for Milwaukee and it shows in his minutes log. He is a safe bet for 35 plus minutes and in a paced up game, he should dominate. He can be a bit more erratic than Durant when it comes to DraftKings points but still remains a solid cash/GPP play.

PF/C LaMarcus Aldridge (SA vs OKC, $9,000)

Aldridge insists on playing tonight in a big matchup against the Thunder. Once again, this is a very risky play due to the questionable tag that is on him. However, if he does play, he is San Antonio’s number one option by far. Excluding his last game, if you look at his last 5 game logs, he has been averaging 56 DraftKings points. At his current salary that is good for 6x value. The Spurs need Aldridge to deliver tonight in a big way to avoid matching up with Golden State in the first round of the playoffs. He is a fine option if he is playing. Otherwise, you can take a look at Pau Gasol who would start in his place at $5,400.

Game stacking options:

On a short slate, game stacking is an effective strategy to win the money. As noted above, I am very interested in taking players from the Golden State/Milwaukee game. The Warriors pace of play should allow more touches for Bucks players and I can see this game remaining close. I will also be taking a look at the Detroit/Washington game. There are plenty of value options on both sides that you can take a look at. Reggie Jackson and Reggie Bullock are just below 5k and in great spots. Marcin Gortat is only $4,500 and the Wizards will need him to matchup with Andre Drummond. Furthermore, Kelly Oubre ($5,100) has been playing great basketball lately off the bench and thrived in his last game against the Pistons. Use this strategy to your advantage!
